With a legacy of 63 years, the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath is a land mark in the cultural scenario of India. It has been promoting Fine Arts activities and the interests of the Artists.

Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath houses 19 galleries out of which 14 galleries are permanent museums exhibiting art works of internationally celebrated artists like Prof. Nicholos Roerich, Dr. Svetoslav Roerich, Dr. Krishna Reddy, Prof. Abanindranath Tagore and others.

Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath is proud to have more than 500 rare original Mysore Traditional Paintings and 2000+ leather puppets in its collection.

Art exhibitions are being organized in Chitrakala Parishath galleries throughout the year by Artists from various parts of India and also abroad.

Founded in 1964, The college of Fine Arts, managed by Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath offers Bachelor degree, Master degree and Research programs in the field of visual arts. It also manages an evening college to enable working professionals to pursue their interest in visual arts.

The college of Fine Arts is proud to have produced thousands of reputed artists from its campus over the years.

For the past 20 years, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath has been organizing ‘CHITRASANTHE’, a mega annual art festival, wherein more than 1500 artists across India participate and more than 5 lakh art lovers visit this event.

The Current Managing Committee, under the leadership of Dr. B.L. Shankar, is striving to further enhance the overall development of Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath & the colleges.
